How are your traffic conversion skills? Getting traffic is one thing. Converting that traffic is something else.
A lot depends on the source of the traffic, but it really becomes important with paid traffic, when every click or impression costs money.
That’s when you need killer landing pages that funnel visitors down the AIDA path to a Call To Action (CTA) that they cannot miss. And with as little opportunity to leave the page as you can get away with, while still giving them the information they need.
This is what I’ve been focused on lately – studying and learning to build landing pages that convert.
The more I learn, the more I see this is a great opportunity for offline marketers – helping local businesses with their PPC campaigns. And they surely need help. How many times have you clicked on an ad and landed on their home page, with tons of buttons to click and nary a CTA in sight?
Business owners are losing thousands of dollars on wasted clicks. That’s a true pain point. That’s not the same as trying to sell them on doing such and such to get more clients. We’re talking about actual money that they are losing once they spend the free coupon Google and Bing will give you to get started.
