My name is Sharon Odom Fling and I’m hooked on technology. I’ve used the Internet for everything from announcing the birth of my triplets to selling my products and services on www.geolocal.com.
I love to use tools, evaluate them, find their strengths and weaknesses, then put them to use on my various websites. It’s fun. I learn a lot. It’s also a double edged sword because it’s easy to spend all my time playing with tools!
To make myself feel better about spending so much time doing this, I had often thought about creating a review site where I can share my experiences with others and let them learn from my mistakes. But I didn’t want another website to maintain.
But when a subscriber asked me where I find so many incredible resources, all of a sudden the light bulb came on—with the way blog software automatically archives posts, why not create a review blog. Nothing formal, just me writing or talking about my experiences with products. Maybe even using Camtasia to make online video tutorials. Put it up on the blog and have it archived online—works for me.
Initially I called this site ReviewHQ, but somehow it became SharonSays.com — I don’t remember how or why, but I like it, so there.
I started out doing tool reviews, but got too busy with my lead generation sites and creating products, so tool reviews are sporadic at best. Mostly it’s become a place where I can talk about whatever is going on, share pictures, and just be me.
